Christantus Uche Sparks Straightforward Crystal Palace Victory at Shelbourne.
Despite embarking on their first-ever European adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Missing star figures like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the London club left Dublin with a commanding win that all but secures them a spot in the Conference League playoffs.
A further three points in their upcoming match against Finnish KuPS should be sufficient to seal straight entry to the knockout stages, particularly following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Moment
This occasion provided a chance for some of Palace's fringe talent to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a well-taken goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah contributed a another, finding the net for the second consecutive succession.
A Shelbourne team that had concluded their domestic season were outmatched even for a mostly second-string Palace lineup. The Londoners were further weakened by the reports that Mateta and Muñoz are sidelined with knee injuries.

Shelbourne were clinging on for dear life. Defender Kameron Ledwidge was fortunate to escape a booking for two agricultural challenges on Yeremy Pino, before Chris Richards rattled the crossbar with a header from a corner.
Pino Wraps Up the Contest
The contest was effectively over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, manager Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring with his very first touch, only to see his shot blocked.
The youngster was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off each posts before being clasped on the line. Uche also blazed a glaring chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only worry for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This allowed 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to make his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect night for the visiting side.
